  14. StarAm Plan is an easy to use but powerful spreadsheet program. 
  15. It is shareware, not crippled. Some features are:
  16.  
  17.  - several sheets at one time in memory with different windows open
  18.  - commands to edit,e.g.: fill range, create series, change range by +-*/,
  19.    sort range, change row/column, powerfull cut/copy/paste, undo,
  20.    search&replace, drag&rop
  21.  - 121 stastistic, financial, mathem., date, time, boolean, text, format
  22.    and other functions to use in cells.
  23.  - user-defined functions, variables and cell-/rangenames
  24.  - A lot of formatsettings for cells, e.g.: alignment, suffix, prefix,
  25.    cell-type (text,number,date,time,percent,...), date/time-format,
  26.    protection, textstyle, borders, textcolor, decimals, sign, hide zero
  27.  - format-pattern and autoformat
  28.  - A lot of charts with a lot of settings, e.g.: 3d-bar, 3d-line, 3d-area,
  29.    errorbars, regression curves, logarithmic axis, polarcoordinates,
  30.    functionplotter, several charts in one system of coordinates
  31.  - in texts of worksheets and charts you can now use simple mathematical
  32.    expressions ("Formelsatz"): fraction, sub-/superscript, math. symbols

  44. Changes since version 2.2e

  46.  - bug fixed, which was introduced in the last version: printing in
  47.    quality mode was not correct

  71.   - bug fixed: ranges are shown only in the view, where they have been
  72.     marked now
  73.   - bug fixed: crash if more than one view of a worksheet open and
  74.     a new row/column above/left of the first row/column was inserted.
  75.   - using »true« xy-charts, the x-values may be unsorted and occur more
  76.     than once. The condition for "false" xy-charts needn't to be
  77.     fullfilled by »true« xy-charts any more.
  78.   - using xy-charts no maximum number of data depending on window size
  79.     any longer
  80.   - bug fixed: crash if marking ranges above a certain row/column
  81.     (INTEGER instead of LONGINT used:-(
  82.   - SDF import: if the seperator is a space, several spaces are
  83.     interpreted as one seperator

  87. Changes since version 2.1b
  88.  
  89.   - bug in installer script fixed: free RAM wasn't checked correctly
  90.   - considerable less memory consumption of the worksheets now
  91.     activated:
  92.     i.e. 52 kbyte (175 cells -> 300 byte per cell)
  93.   - you can now use simple mathematical expressions ("Formelsatz") in
  94.     all texts in the chart and the sheet! In the sheet this feature
  95.     must be activated.
  96.   - output of texts (screen and printer) won't be cut anymore if the
  97.     text is longer than the width of the column, so no need to break
  98.     the text into the next cells (Ctrl/Return)!
  99.     »Center Row« works without breaking the text into the following
  100.     cells, too. It can be undone with »Format/Alignment« now.
  101.   - print out in highest quality and complete WYSIWYG now possible
  102.     (font, colour, cell grid, borders, mathematical expressions)
  103.   - Cell references are now linked to its cells, i.e. if cells are
  104.     removed or new inserted, then the references will be changed so
  105.     that they refer to the new positions of the cells.
  106.     All references in the complete project are adapted, 3d references
  107.     too (but not the layer reference). Links to other worksheets
  108.     by name (e.g. \Name.A1) aren't changed (this is impracticable).
  109.   - now cells are always calculated in the correct order.
  110.   - linear/exponential/power regression now uses errorvalues of the
  111.     y values if desired. Also the y-error-bars are used calculating the
  112.     regression curves in charts.
  113.   - some other minor new features and improvements and some bugs fixed
  114.     (complete list is in the archive)

  116. Changes since version 2.1
  117.  
  118.   - Aminet distribution is now identical to disk distribution
  119.   - Installer script completely rewritten:
  120.     - localized
  121.     - checking minimum preconditions
  122.     - cleaning up after error
  123.     - active support of installation on floppy disk (size checking and
  124.       asking for new directory)
  125.     - PRETEND mode works
  126.     - all answers in EXPERT mode are safe
  127.     - some more informations in EXPERT mode
  128.     - Creating directory in EXPERT mode only if desired
  129.     - less questions in AVERAGE mode (more automatic copying)
  130.     - all questions first if possible
  131.     - icon positions are kept on update (this must be activated
  132.       manually by deleting some ; because of compatibility)
  133.     -> perfect installer-script ;-)
  134.   - enforcer hits, etc. fixed: changing position of cell A1 with command
  135.     Edit/Sort confused StarAm Plan
  136.   - Guru fixed: occured when deleting a text series which contains
  137.     an empty text
  138.   - some other enforcer hits and minor bugs fixed and some minor
  139.     improvements (complete list is in the archive)
